However, what truly sets him apart is his unwavering commitment to putting people first. We sat down with him to chat about some lessons learned from working at Momentum and discover fun facts we might not have known.

1. What is your favourite part of your job?
The variety of what we do is one of my favourite parts, as it always keeps things interesting. There are rarely two days that look the same, whether that’s meeting new people and building new relationships, analyzing potential deals, scoping out development sites, or having some fun go-karting with the Momentum team.

2. What memory have you created with the Momentum team that really stands out?
It seems like every day there is something memorable that happens with the team. I couldn’t possibly narrow it down to just one.

3. Have you learned any lessons at work that you carry for your life outside the office?
I come from an engineering background and have learned that, while numbers and a good spreadsheet are important, it’s the people and relationships that are the most important part of what we do, whether that’s work-related or not. 

4. What always brings a smile to your face?
Any time there is candy in the office.

5. What do you most value in our team members?
It’s the “people-first” approach and attitude that the Momentum team operates with that I have a great appreciation for. That, and the level of skill and experience the team has. It’s exciting to be working with some of the most competent and genuine people in the industry.

6. Can you share with us your favourite photo currently on your phone?

7. As a kid, what did you want to do when you were older?
When I was very young, I wanted to play in the NBA. I figured if Muggsy Bogues, who was 5’3”, could make it to the NBA, it would be a breeze for me. 

Turns out you actually have to be really good at basketball too.

8. What is your go-to method to decompress and reduce stress?
If I can get to a place that has palm trees and a beach, you won’t find me less stressed than that. If I’m sticking around town, a bowl of ice cream and movie with the family are a great de-stressor.

9. What do you love about working with real estate?
I love how real estate can be foundational to people and businesses succeeding, especially when approached correctly. Being able to contribute to, and seeing that success, is what I enjoy the most and is what drives me, whether that involves finding a great space for a new or expanding business, working with owners to fill their space, evaluating development or investment opportunities, or providing insight to investors.
